Over the past decade, structured financial reporting has moved from an optional best practice for listed companies to a legal obligation that now reaches across the economy. ESEF mandates Inline XBRL for annual financial reports across the entire European Union. SBR requires XBRL-based filing for tax returns and annual accounts in the Netherlands. Always-current taxonomies. Semansys maintains and continuously updates the full library of regulatory taxonomies used across our supported jurisdictions. When ESMA publishes a new ESEF taxonomy, or when the Dutch Tax Authority updates its SBR taxonomy, the change is reflected in our platform and your reports are validated and generated against the correct version automatically. You do not manage taxonomy files; we do.
Jurisdiction-specific filing rules. Beyond the XBRL specification itself, regulators publish additional business rules that govern permissible values, required disclosures, and submission constraints. We implement and maintain these rules for each supported jurisdiction, so your submissions satisfy not just technical syntax but the full regulatory intent.
ESMA ESEF compliance. Our platform fully supports the ESMA European Single Electronic Format, including Inline XBRL report package validation, extension taxonomy management, and the specific filing rules published in the ESEF Regulatory Technical Standard.
